While his stay on the island was originally scheduled to last only four weeks, something about the island’s thick jungle, tangles of vines, bedeviled coastline, and proximity to waters that regularly cause ships to crash appealed to him. Ready for the next chapter in his life, the General began inviting guests to the island one year ago after a major renovation to the island’s chateau. A beautiful, historical building, it had been long in disrepair after the previous owner died in quicksand and his staff slowly went mad once it became clear they had no way to get off the island. He enjoys reading, hiking, and sipping port while looking out at thunderstorms and cackling.
